The quest for multifunctional materials motivates me. Multiferroics nanoparticles and nanocomposites offer fascinating approaches to the fabrication of multifunctional devices for various modern technological applications. My work primarily focused on size and shape-controlled synthesis and characterization of, rare earth orthoferrite nanoparticles and nanocomposites and understanding the responsible mechanism due to the change in structure, shape, and hence in various physical properties. The approach is mainly to obtain multifunctionality of ferroic and multiferroic either by doping or making composite at the nanoscale.   We have achieved applications in nanoscale low-energy consumption devices such as triboelectric nanogenerators, magnetostrictive sensors, etc..
